Cosur becomes Battaglio Argentina S.A.
Cosur was founded in 2002 with the idea of creating a Battaglio chain and to take advantage of an ideal growing territory suited to the pear and apple production in the Rio Negro valley. Thanks to an efficient refrigerated warehouse in Villa Regina, they export in various worldwide markets, mainly based in Italy, Brasil, USA, Mexico, Russia and Caribbean, and promote excellent quality standards.
Since 2014, the company, using Battaglio’s know-how, started to trade bananas and pineapples within the local market.
In 2017, Cosur opened another warehouse in Buenos Aires, dedicated to the ripening of the bananas. The warehouse uses innovative technology and offers the opportunity to improve the distribution network with which the company aims to grow significantly within the internal market.

The forecast for 2018 is promising: 19 thousand tons of pears and apples to be exported and 7 thousand tons of bananas and pineapples to be imported. Numbers that are the result of a strategic growth process that Cosur and Battaglio have pursued over the years and in July 2018, has brought to a significant rebranding operation: Cosur became Battaglio Argentina S.A.
