Korla production decreased by 70%, Aksu production decreased by 50%

China: 2018 Xinjiang Korla pear harvest

The Korla pear trees blossomed 4-5 days earlier this year than in previous years. The test harvest began on August 28th, and the official harvest began on September 2nd. The production volume is estimated at more than 200 thousand tons, which is a decrease of 70% in comparison with the same period in 2017. Reports from Aksu show that the pear production volume there decreased by around 50% in comparison with the same period in 2017.
