The largest fruit trading hub might be born

China: Jiaxing Phase II Haiguangxing fruit market opening

The Jiaxing Haiguangxing Fruit Market, which has been jointly invested in by many parties, has attracted much attention since its inception. After more than a year of intense construction, it officially started its trial operations today. The market is mainly based on imported fruits, supplemented by domestic fruits. It complements and develops with the domestically produced bulk of the Jiaxing fruit market. It forms a full product line supply in Jiaxing and provides one-stop purchasing services for buyers.

The market covers a total area of nearly 115,000 square meters, of which the stall trading area reaches 25,000 square meters. The east-west cargo trading area can accommodate 300 containers, and is also equipped with large cold storage and processing support areas and office areas. In the future, Haiguangxing Market will not only become one of the important import fruit distribution centers in East China, but also the country's first 'super' market with an annual turnover of more than 50 billion yuan together with the Jiaxing fruit market.

Zheng Nanxuan, chairman of Guangzhou Jiangweihui said: "According to the development of the fruit industry, the fruit market will continue to play a vital role in the development of the industry in the next 10-15 years. The status of the industry determines that the fruit cannot simply skip the middle link. A reasonable division of labor is necessary. The fruit market will play a key role in trading, quality control and after-sales in the past, present and future."
