Gift packets sold at €50

Italian exhibitors attending Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong witnessed common fruit and vegetables sold at a very high price. Valentina Piraccini from Macfruit reports that "we visited a city supermarket and I saw a fruit gift packet on sale at €50! The supermarket is located in a very large luxury shopping center."

The fresh produce section is right at the entrance, with a part dedicated to gift packaging. There is also an area where personnel creates gift packets
for customers.

"Quality was premium for what concerns both packaging and quality. There were cherries, avocados, apples, grapes, melons, peaches, etc. There were also cherry tomatoes and radicchio from Italy and fresh-cut salad from Australia."
