Transport company Gartner KG continues to expand
MOOY Logistics Waddinxveen becomes Gartner Holland B.V.
Gartner Transport Holding is further expanding its European branch network by founding a subsidiary in the Netherlands. The group of companies announced that at the beginning of September 2018, MOOY Logistics B.V., the liquidator of the bankrupt company MOOY Logistics, had reached an agreement with NL/Waddinxveen, so that Gartner will take over all the assets of MOOY Logistics/Waddinxveen in the form of an asset deal.
Storage and transport logistics
A second warehouse location of the insolvent MOOY Logistics in NL/Breda is simultaneously being taken over by a competitor in the food logistics sector. At Mooy Logistics, a traditional Dutch company founded in 1952, the focus so far has been on warehousing and transport logistics of fruit and vegetables/citrus fruits with the main transport areas of Benelux, France and Germany. The transports were carried out partly with its own vehicle park, but above all through the employment of subcontractors.
The new subsidiary is named Gartner Holland B.V. and will be able to continue the entire transport activities as well as the storage activities of the previous Mooy Logistics BV/Waddinxveen site, while continuing to employ substantial parts of the previous workforce.
Austrian headquarters Gartner Transport Holding GmbH is a Europe-wide family-owned company with its headquarters in Lambach, Upper Austria. It has 19 locations in 8 countries and employs a total of more than 4,000 employees (about 880 in Austria alone). 100 percent of the company's shares are held by the Austrian family owners.
With its own fleet, consisting of the last 1950 trucks and 2550 semi-trailers, around 900,000 road transports are carried out each year. In the last financial year, consolidated annual sales of approx. 520 million euros were achieved. The branch office in Germany is located in Kehl.
