A great volume of seasonal fruits is currently hitting the market. In the last week of August, the first kiwifruit from Ningbo entered the market. The product quality is great, as is the flavor, and the kiwifruit receives a warm welcome from consumers.
Kiwifruit varieties have different preservation periods. Red heart kiwifruit can generally only be kept for a bit longer than two months. Green and yellow kiwifruit can be kept longer. The kiwifruit wholesale price is currently only 8-9 yuan [1.17-1.32 USD] per 0.5 kg, which is much less than the 12 yuan [1.76 USD] per 0.5 kg of last year. In addition, kiwifruit has to compete with many other kinds of fruit. This is complicating sales conditions for kiwifruit this year.
