New safety device for K8 asparagus harvesters
Bagioni Alfiero has painted a few K8 machines for the harvesting of white asparagus with the colors of France, Football World Cup winner.
"It's something that goes hand in hand with the quality of our machinery and it's a treat for the eyes. We opted for the colors of the team that has won the recent football championship in Russia," explains owner Aurenzo Bagioni.
Just like all other Bagioni harvesters, K8 is equipped with all safety features. The latest feature is inexpensive and helps European asparagus producers comply with standards. The low price is due to the fact that the device was produced in series since demand is expected to be high.
An optical sensor device detects the presence of operators and allows the machine to advance only if they are in a safe position. This is because European directives forbid the advance of the machine if no operator is driving. However companies are still using machines that advance with no control system.
