Kiwiberries hit the Chinese market

The scientific name of kiwiberries is Actinidia Arguta. They are a national treasure in New Zealand and are also praised as the most perfect natural fruit. Kiwiberries ripen in mid-August. Since they are a late-season fruit, their hardiness after harvest is quite high. Long distance transport does not pose a problem, and they can be kept in cooled storage for 2-3 months.

Kiwiberries

The kiwiberry industry is new and developing. The kiwiberry is praised as the "King of a new generation of fruit". Since the domestic kiwiberry industry is still in an early phase, the price of kiwiberries is rather high. The price of imported kiwiberries can be upwards of 100 yuan [14.63 USD].

Kiwiberries

The overall surface area devoted to kiwiberry plantation in China is still small, but over time more companies will enter this industry and the surface area will reach an estimated several hundred thousand hectares. At that time the kiwiberry will enter millions of homes and become as regular as blueberries.
