Dutch fruit exporter arrested for drug trafficking

A well-known and wealthy businessman who exported fruits from Colombia to Europe is, according to the authorities, responsible for the shipment of cocaine in these shipments to different countries, such as the Netherlands.

This is the result of an operation that began several months ago in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Agency of the United States, which has resulted in the capture of at least 15 foreigners.

According to General Jorge Nieto, the exporter Paulus Adrian Van used his fruit export company to smuggle drugs into the European territory.

"Fifteen people have been captured, including the Dutch businessman who was in charge of the narcotics trafficking operation through his shipments of fruit to Europe," the general said.

During the operation, which is still ongoing, Colombian police officers infiltrated the criminal organization to seize seven tons of cocaine and dismantle the drug trafficking organization.
