Fiwap/PCA market message:
Early industrial varieties: General price, 35 mm+, min 60% 50 mm+, min 360 g/5kg of EPS, bulk, friable, selling price, excluding VAT, direct delivery: between €25,00 et €30,00/a, depending on size, buyers and varieties. Strong market. The supply is very limited by the low yields, as well as by the difficulties/impossibilities of the harvest. The demand is active (manufacturers, preparers, peelers).
In conservation varieties, the harvest continues at a slow pace: little supply, harvest impossible in some areas due to drought, caution of producers compared to available amounts ("first deliver on contract")
Bintje: between €25 et €26/a, the most common price being at €25
Fontane: between €25 et €27/a, depending on quality and buyers.

Germany
The federal minister said that the summer of 2018 was recognized as “auβergewönliches Natureignis”, i.e. an exceptional natural event. This can lead to help for farmers, and should allow farmers to claim “unforeseeable circumstances”. But it does not take away the fact that producers have to deliver all the tons of potatoes produced, but would not have to buy the missing tons on the open market. On the fresh market (Rhineland), as of August 24 the prices were unchanged for firm pulp at €28,00/a and for soft pulp at €26,00/a. For early firm pulp crops on sale at the farm (Rhineland), prices vary between €11,00 and €12,00/a per 25 kg bag (unchanged). Very strong market in early potatoes for the industry (fries). Various early crops at €26/a, and Zorba at €27,00/a.
*you will have to deduct €1,00/a from these prices in their starting fields in the table above for sorting fees
Great Britain
Average producer price (all markets) week 34: €33,19/a.
Price up in pounds sterling, and stable in €. Yields (20 to 50t/ha in the east, 30 to 40% decrease in the south) and variable qualities (rejects!) according to sub-regions, varieties and the importance of rainfall. Late harvest and not always enough supply, hence the prices are quite firm.
