Ukraine: fruit exports 59 percent up on the previous year

Exports of fruits and berries from the Ukraine increased significantly last year. The total value of fruit and berry exports from Ukraine amounted to $100 million in the first quarter of 2018, up 59 percent from last year.

New markets
According to the statistics office, Ukrainian products have so far been delivered to more than 50 countries in the world. In addition to the traditional sales markets in Russia and the EU, new export countries in Asia and Africa are now also being supplied.

In 2016 and 2017, apples were exported to Indonesia, and walnuts were sent to Iran. The next market to be entered is China. Soon, sweet cherries will be delivered to the People's Republic.
