Peru: Mango and aguaymanto, products with export potential in Ancash

The products with the greatest export potential in the region of Ancash are: the mango, aguaymanto, fan shell, Hass avocado, passion fruit, grape, blueberry, quinoa, purple corn, tara, pine mushrooms and anchovies for human consumption.

This is according to the Regional Export Plan (PERX) of Ancash that was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), which highlighted the potential of these products that will be prioritized to improve their exportable supply.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Edgar Vasquez, said that the plan seeks to generate value in the region's exportable offer to access international markets and to generate higher income and jobs.

Deputy Minister Vasquez said that Ancash was the seventeenth region to update its export plan, which was possible thanks to the active participation, both in Huaraz and in Casma, of representatives of the public and private sector, as well as from the academy, who had the methodological support of Mincetur.

"Ancash is a region that has the potential to supply, mainly agricultural and hydro biological products, and the implementation of the PERX activities will improve their chances of accessing the international market," Vice Minister Vasquez said.
