Crazy traffic laws

Most laws are very useful, but there are a few whose purpose is questionable.
Here is a small selection:

The Australian Potato Marketing Cooperation has the right to stop and search vehicles in Western Australia if it is suspected that more than 50 kilograms of potatoes are being transported. The law dates from 1946.

In Thailand it is against the law to drive a car naked. Those who are caught undressed must pay a fine - the sentence is determined according to the extent of the nakedness and how offensive it is to the police officers.

Incidentally, in Germany you can drive in the nude, but only as long as other drivers do not feel disturbed.

In Costa Rica drunk driving is prohibited - but alcohol consumption while driving is not. Again, there are some juicy punishments.

In the state of Arkansas, it is forbidden to ring bells after 9pm at places selling cold drinks and sandwiches. Presumably this is to protect rolls and buns that are easily scared.

Other laws describe offences that seem a bit more obvious. For example, there is a law in the state of Alabama prohibiting people from wearing a blindfold while driving.
