Venezuela hit by earthquake

The country was hit by a "historic megaquake", measuring a 7.3 magnitude. There were fears that it might cause small tsunami waves along the coast, near the epicentre. However, the US Pacific Tsunami Center cancelled an earlier warning. The tremors were felt all the way to Trinidad. The following tweet below shows, that it´s one of the strongest earthquakes in years.

The country was hit at 5.31pm (11.31 pm CEST) at a depth of 123,2 km. The depth of the quake might have helped in limiting the damage. So far, no injuries or deaths are reported.
