China: Sanya vegetable prices come down again

Although the vegetable price in Sanya is still relatively high, it is already lower than it was in the last two days. Supply to the four agricultural markets in Sanya City has returned to normal. Data from the Sanya Price Bureau shows that the vegetable price started to come down on August 17. The average price of 19 kinds of representative vegetable products was 4.80 yuan [0.70 USD] per 0.5 kg, which was 2.91 yuan [0.43 USD] less than the average price of 7.71 yuan [1.13 USD] on August 16. The price recently decreased by 37%, but in comparison with the price prior to the arrival of the typhoon, that caused the price to rise in the first place, the current price still increased by 20%.
