Argentina: The US Ambassador visits Citromax

Governor Juan Manzur and the United States ambassador to Argentina, Edward Prado, made an official visit to the Citromax citrus plant located in Acheral, in the department of Monteros. This company was one of the first companies allowed to resume lemon exports to that country, in May of this year.

At the plant, Manzur and Prado were received by the president of Citromax, Vivian Glueck, who guided the visit and explained the quality standards used for the products that Tucuman sells to different parts of the world.

The Minister of the Embassy, Ariadne Meller, the Minister of Productive Development, Luis Fernández, and the Secretary of International Relations of the Province, Jorge Neme, also participated in the tour.

The Ambassador decided to conduct this visit after Governor Manzur invited him in June, while he was visiting the diplomatic headquarters in Buenos Aires.

Citromax started as a family business in 1960. Today it has 4,000 hectares of lemon plants and produces the highest quality citrus oils and juices.

The Ambassador’s trip to the province
Prado landed in Tucuman at around 11 in the morning and was received by the Governor at Benjamín Matienzo International Airport. The Ambassador is in the province to participate, on Tuesday, August 21, in the International Meeting on ‘Hate Crimes, discrimination and intimidation in the era of social networks’, which will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in the capital of Tucuman.
