French apple exporters are positive about the upcoming season

Large European amounts do not worry French exporters. “We're expecting to sell all our apples this year," says a French exporter who sells mostly on the Western European market. "We think there will be a good balance between supply and demand."

According to the exporter, the big Polish production isn’t troublesome, because they don’t grow the same varieties as the French. "Furthermore, the Poles aren’t on the same markets as us, and the competition won’t be any stronger than other years."

For the French consumer, the most important varieties are the Royal Gala, Golden and Pink Lady. "There's always a great demand for these varieties."
