"Export volume slightly increased"

"China: "Stable export market for edible mushrooms"

"Vegetables are influenced by weather conditions during their growing process, like most agricultural products. This is particularly true in south China where excessive rain can do serious harm to growing vegetables. This year the influence was limited, even though we did have many rainy days. Our overall export volume of edible mushrooms and vegetables is stable. It slightly increased in comparison with previous years." This is according to Lin Zhengshun, President of Fujian Ningde Yongjia Trade Co., Ltd.

Vegetable field

"The popularity of our edible mushrooms has increased gradually over the years in domestic and overseas markets. The main reasons for this development are as follows: first, China has excellent conditions for mushroom production. China is also one of the first countries to cultivate mushrooms for the food industry. Second, large volumes of edible mushrooms are processed from raw material into healthy food and drink products, which neatly plays into the growing consumer demand for healthy products."

Vegetables

"We are a comprehensive agricultural company with many farms in Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan, Hunan, Beijing, and northeast China, both owned by us and in cooperation with others, where we produce edible mushrooms, beans, cabbages, and broccoli. As for distribution, we cooperate with outside distributors to increase our transport efficiency."

Shiitake mushrooms

"At this stage, our products are not only sold in wholesale markets and supermarkets in large cities throughout China, but also exported to Southeast Asia and Europe. We will participate in the International Fruit and Vegetable Exposition in Hong Kong in September in order to find more business opportunities and meet with people in the industry."
