Professional championship increases attractiveness of the profession

Swiss growers of the future compete in different disciplines

Young vegetable growers in Switzerland completed a large-scale cultivation operation in the heart of the Seeland growing region, as part of the Swiss 'Kill professional championships'. The tests included, among other things, seeding the onion seeds and plowing the cultivation area. The aim is to increase the attractiveness of the gardening profession and to combat its image problem.

Versatile work
One of the vegetable growers present summed up the versatility of the industry in a nutshell. Because in addition to the heavy physical work, a vegetable grower is a psychologist, financial specialist, mechanic and marketer as well.
