Turkey: Potato and onion harvest at full speed in Yozgat

Aydincik town of Yozgat, a city in northern Turkey, is known for its agricultural production and the harvest of potatoes and onions still continue in the area. 
Onion is grown roughly in an area of 50 million square feet whereas potato is grown in a 30 million square feet area. 

Grower Muhammet Ozturk: “ With the start of the harvest in this area, the prices of onion and potato went down by 50 % in the market place which was at a very high level before. The price at the grower right now for onion is around 0.18 USD per kg and for potato 0.22 USD per kg.”
