China's garlic exports decline - farmers' profits are affected

According to Chinese rural radio programme, the garlic in the main garlic producing areas such as Shandong, Jiangsu and Henan has been harvested at present. The new garlic is still yet to be sold. This year, the profits of garlic farmers are not ideal, and most of the income of garlic farmers is not up to expectations. In addition to the reasons for oversupply, there is a deeper reason: China's garlic exports have been suppressed, and this suppression has also meant the risks faced by garlic farmers and garlic merchants will continue to increase in the future.

The large output of Chinese garlic needs to be exported to alleviate domestic supply pressure. When the international market has ample supply of garlic, it will definitely reduce the export of Chinese garlic, causing tremendous pressure on garlic farmers. The market of Chinese garlic is inextricably linked with the export of Chinese garlic and the demands of the international market. These links have caused the current decline in garlic profits.
