Tropical storm alerts in Mexico

Two storms have formed in the Pacific Ocean and they are approaching the southwest coast of Mexico. Ileana and John have been classified as tropical storms by the National Meteorological Service (SMN). The most recent information published indicates that the Ileana storm is off the coast of Guerrero and that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Oaxaca and Guerrero, among other places. It is also possible that the regions of Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán will be affected by squalls.

The other storm, John, is further away at the moment, although it has the potential of becoming a hurricane tonight or tomorrow. However, it is not expected to hit land for the moment. The trajectories predicted for the storms run parallel to the coast of Mexico. The Ileana storm is very close to the coast, as can be seen.
