Vehicle tracking system can now be used in cars

Vehicle tracking technology is getting increasingly smaller. This has made it possible to place trackers in conventional cars. GPS-Buddy will introduce its latest vehicle tracking system at Transport Compleet in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. According to this company, "This low-end vehicle tracking system can be installed quickly and easily, and out of sight in every type of vehicle. The system, with its 7,6 cm by 4,2 cm dimensions, is also very well-suited to cars. Despite its modest size, the GPS-Buddy Basic offers all the necessary features. These are used to quickly and efficiently determine the real-time position of a vehicle. This real-time trip information can be seen on the GPS-Buddy web-portal, the Studio environment and the GPS-Buddy apps".

With the GPS-Buddy Basic, fleet managers who also offer other means of transport besides vehicles can now register and control the data from these transportation methods. This can be done in a managed environment. Desmond van Kooten, Sales Director at GPS-Buddy, explains: "We have a broad portfolio of solutions to track, among other things, vehicles and materials. The OBD-connector was introduced earlier this year. It is the simplest way to track a vehicle quickly. The GPS-Buddy XL system uses specific solutions to offer clients the possibility to expand the trip registration functionality to suit their particular needs. The GPS-Buddy Basic is a low-end built-in system. As such, it offers a more permanent solution when compared to the OBD-connector. The Basic also presents a fully-fledged solution for cars. We want to give Fleet and Mobility Managers the opportunity to monitor all kinds of means of transportation within a controlled environment."

The GPS-Buddy Basic can be seen at the GPS-Buddy stand at Transport Compleet in Gorinchem. This transport sector trade fair will be held on 4, 5 and 6 September.
