"China: "Dalian apple production increased this year"

"The packaged Yellow Gold and Qiaona Gold apples from Dalian receive a warm welcome on the Russian market. The Red Gold apples sell well in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. And the Rooster Red apples receive positive feedback from Southeast Asia. Among all these varieties, the red Fuji apple is most popular and is sold in Southeast Asia, Russia, Canada, United Arab Emirates, and the USA. Apart from apples, Dalian also produces Red Globe grapes. These grapes are sold in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. In addition, Dalian also exports large volumes of pears and plums to Southeast Asia." This is according to director Cheng of Dalian Menew Food Co., Ltd.

"In recent years, however, export has become difficult. There are many reasons for this situation. First, competition on the domestic market grows more intense. Second, export destinations levy high customs tariffs. Third, such large export destinations as Indonesia and India have implemented international trade regulations that are unfavorable to Chinese exporters."

"Our company owns two factories, one produces fresh fruit and the other produces canned foods. We started exporting apples in 1980. This year the apple production volume in Dalian increased, as far as I can tell, and this increased production volume is likely to lower the market price. However, these circumstances may yet change. Successful companies only need to worry about the quality of their products in order to conquer the market. We select our products carefully to guarantee the highest quality."
