UK: Tarantula found in Asda grapes

A dad got a shock when he washed a bunch of grapes for his son, and a tarantula crawled out. Kevin Hudson, 40, was even more surprised as the fruit, which he had bought from Asda, had been kept in the fridge for two days. Company director Kevin revealed: "I was a bit shocked but fortunately I'm not too bothered by spiders. If it had been my wife it would have been a different story." The dad-of-three, of Elmswell, Suffolk, caught the stowaway and took it to a pet shop, where it is "growing nicely". Asda are investigating how it came to the UK.
