PMA industry members establish new business opportunities
More than 150 produce industry members from around the world connected with each other to establish new business opportunities during a special networking reception hosted by Produce Marketing Association (PMA) at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Germany. The gathering, sponsored by PMA members Camposol, Driscoll’s, Mission Produce, and Seven Seas, welcomed members from across the supply chain to explore global business opportunities and learn about advancements in PMA initiatives to build and strengthen the industry.
“The PMA reception, just one part of the three-day expo, offered members from around the world the opportunity to reconnect and forge new relationships,” said Richard Owen, PMA vice president of global membership and engagement. “Colleagues from Europe, South Africa, Australia, China, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, USA, and throughout the world came together in one community.”

The PMA stand at Fruit Logistica generated interest in PMA membership and events, research and information, and extensive contacts throughout the supply chain while staff learned more about the needs of global industry members. PMA’s events and programs were especially popular and many people enquired about Fresh Summit, PMA’s international convention and exposition for the fresh produce and floral supply chain, scheduled Oct. 18-20 in Orlando, Fla., USA.
“This outreach was an excellent opportunity to live the vision of PMA of bringing together the produce and floral community to build a healthier world,” added Owen.
