Egypt: Agriculture Ministry to open new market for garlic in Indonesia

Agriculture Minister Ezzeldin Abu Stait said that the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine has succeeded in opening a new market for Egyptian garlic in Indonesia. On Thursday Abu Stait released a statement saying that Egypt is exerting every effort possible to maintain the quality of its agricultural exports and to tap new markets.

 
The Indonesian authorities received a comprehensive file on the methods of planting, packing and exporting of Egyptian garlic, said the Head of the Central Department of Agricultural Quarantine, Ahmed el Attar said. He added that Indonesia approved the export process after studying that file.
 
According to egypttoday.com, Egypt exported 12.703 tons of garlic during the current season.
