Ukraine fruit export increased by 59%

China becomes new export market for Ukraine

Ukrainian fruit and berry exports greatly increased last year. The export value reached 100 million USD in the first quarter of 2018, which is an increase of 59% in comparison with the same period in the previous year. Data shows that Ukrainian products have been exported to more than 50 countries up until now. Apart from the traditional export markets in Russia and the European Union, Ukraine has found new export markets in Asia and Africa.

Ukraine exported apples to Indonesia in 2016 and 2017, and walnuts to Iran. The next market they entered was China. They quickly began to export sweet cherries to the Chinese market.
