China: Shunfeng team up with international giant for cold chain development

SF Holdings and Xiahui jointly held a press conference in Shenzhen recently to officially announce the establishment of a joint venture company in China. The new company, Xinxiahui, will play to the strengths of both sides in the field of cold chain logistics, leading to the development of innovative projects according to the diversified needs of the Chinese market, along with providing an integrated supply chain and integrated logistics solutions to promote the development of China's cold chain logistics.

The development of cold chain logistics is closely related to daily life. With the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, China's cold chain logistics market has released great potential. According to the report released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, it is expected that the market size will reach 470 billion yuan by 2020, and the annual compound growth rate will exceed 20%. Despite this, China's cold chain logistics still faces problems such as limited technology, high cost, and lagging standardization.

At present, resource integration and mutual benefit are the general trend of the industry. Xiahui is one of McDonald's global logistics providers with an industry-leading cold chain and multi-temperature food distribution technology. Xin Xiahui, a joint venture of SF Holdings, will operate the existing business of Xiahui in China, Hong Kong and Macau (including domestic freight management).
