Almost time for the AMHPAC Annual congress

Next week it’s time for the 11th AMHPAC (Association Mexicana de Horticultura Protegida) annual congress. Wednesday is the first day, which is mainly the registration and, it's important to mention, the Welcome cocktail, sponsored by HortiConnect. It’s also the day of the General ordinary meeting, during which experts will provide a report on the current situation and prospects of the Mexican tomato suspension agreement (dumping).

Thursday starts with the well known 5K Race and Flag Race, followed by the official start of the congress and the exhibitor area is opened.

Thursday Program
Conference 1: Aeroponics – an alternative for producing protected crops in Mexico. This is given by Prometeo Sánchez García, Professor Researcher of the Post-Graduate College in Agricultural Sciences.

Conference 2: Generational transition of family businesses. Given by Andres Ludvigson, Manager-President of Svensson.

Conference 3: Renewable Engergies. Given by Raúl Alberto Sanchez Velásco, International Consultant.

Conference 4: Trend and importance of data management for a greenhouse operation. Given by Wil Lammers, President of Hortimax America.

On Thursday there is the possibility to have side meetings with marketers, bank representatives and experts in the suspension agreement.

Friday Program
Conference 5: Panel – Logistics for new markets. Involved parties are GPC, Welldex representatives and a grower.

Conference 6: Natural and organic: How consumers are driving this market. Given by Steven Borst – General Global Manager of Alltech Crop Science.

Conference 7: Sustainable Urban Delta (Where agriculture is going in the future). Given by Meiny Prins, CEO of Priva International.

Keynote Conference (8): Historical Analysis of Mexico. Given by Francisco Martín Moreno, a novelist, columnist in different national and international newspapers and magazines. As well he is a commentator in radio and TV in México and the US.

On Fridays it possible to have side meetings with marketers and bank representatives.
