Bulgaria's bERS Logistics unit acquires Univeg Bulgaria

Bulgarian logistics company bERS Logistics said on Thursday that its unit Media Transport has acquired Univeg Bulgaria, part of Belgium's food supplier Greenyard. The deal was completed in the end of 2017, bERS Logistics said in a statement. After the acquisition, bERS Logistics consolidated the activities of Media Transport and Univeg Bulgaria.

"We will continue to work even more intensively for the impelmentation of other operational partnerships together with logistics, warehouse and transport companies, both in Bulgaria and abroad," Nikolay Nikolov, business planning and development manager at bERS Logistics, said in the statement. bERS Logistics is focused on expansion of its network in Bulgaria and the neighbouring Balkan markets. The company has set a strategic goal for 2018 to expand its portfolio of end-to-end solutions for servicing online shops and e-commerce clients. Founded in 2005 in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, bERS logistics hires more than 160 in the country.
