The special feature of their company is the variety of goods that is offered. "We offer everything that restaurateurs need. Be it drinks, fruits, vegetables, fir branches for Christmas or roses for Valentine's Day, everything is possible," says the 27-year-old. "From May to September, we mainly offer regional goods, such as salads. But international goods are also on offer; increasingly from Morocco, China, Turkey and Holland as well."
In Bavaria, the company delivers to many different locations within a radius of 300 kilometers around Munich. Their customers are not only hotels and restaurants, but also events.
Nurten Orakci is a trained merchant and has been working at the wholesale market for seven years now. Then she decided to become self-employed and to found the Adam and Eve Fruchthandel GmbH & Co. KG, which has existed since October 2016. Today, almost two years later, the company with just under 40 employees owns another location in Nuremberg. Altogether they have 450 square meters of storage space on the wholesale market aream, in halls 4 and 5. In the future, Orakci plans to open another location in Kempten in the beautiful Allgäu.
Nevertheless, the location of the Großmarkthalle in Munich is very close to Orakci’s heart, as a supporter of the ‘location initiative’. "The central location is very well suited for us. If a supplier does not deliver, we have many alternatives, through resident distributors on the wholesale market. The wholesale market hall is a meeting place for suppliers, where supply and demand meet."
