Uzbekistan increases sweet cherry exports

By July 8, 2018, Uzbekistan exported sweet cherries for a total worth of over $140.95 million, stated agricultural company Uzbekozikovkatholding on July 11th. According to this information, Uzbekistan exported 33,625 tons of sweet cherries in 2018, an increase of 2,880 tons or $73.01 million compared to last year.

For the same period in 2017, Uzbekistan exported 30,600 tons for a total of $66.83 million.Earlier, the EastFruit company had said that Uzbekistan ranked fourth among the exporters of sweet cherries in the world, due to the active expansion of cherry fields in 2013-2017. In 2018, the export of Uzbek cherries may grow to 36,000-38,000 tons.
