Successful UVC tunnel demo day

Dutch machine manufacturers, Van Rijn and Bioclimatic, organised a UVC tunnel demonstration day. This was held on 21 June. More than 25 businesses attended the day. They showed interest in the technique and its applications. The demonstration tunnel was designed to dry-disinfect incoming materials. The visitors, however, saw all kinds of possibilities. These ranged from disinfecting hoses and crates to mussels and packaging.

The most significant advantages of the UVC disinfection system are that:

The process is clean and dry
The use of chemicals is avoided
It is reliable as there is no human involvement

The tunnel is hygienically designed for the foodstuffs industry. It can be adjusted to fit clients' specific needs.
