Yesterday, the United Fresh trade show kicked off at the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago. Five different expos and a total of 460 exhibitors meet together on one trade show floor. The different expos consist of:
- United FreshMKT Expo
- United FreshTEC Expo
- International Floriculture Expo
- Global Cold Chain Expo
- SmartFood Expo™
In conjunction with the trade show, many different educational sessions are taking place that are well received by attendees. “It is a very high level of educational sessions that are well worth attending,” shared Helen Aquino with Village Farms.
After the trade show concluded for the day, the Honoring Women in Produce reception took place. Cindy Jewell, Vice President of Marketing at California Giant Berry Farms was honored and shared her story with the audience. Jewell also is the new Chairman of the Board of United Fresh.Today will be the second and last day of the trade show. A full photo report from the show will be published on Friday.
