Two Gold awards for the ALDI Bistro and the ALDI SÜD brand
The discounter ALDI SÜD received a German Brand Award in Gold in the category "Industry Excellence in Branding - Trade, Retail & e-Commerce".
Another gold award was given for the ALDI bistro pop-up concept. The jury honoured the holistic brand experience with all its added value that was created for the customers last year by ALDI Bistro.
There was a Winner Award for the action "Crooked things". Since the middle of last year, ALDI SÜD has been offering fruit and vegetables with minor blemishes, thereby acting against food waste. A third Winner Award recognized the activities of ALDI SÜD around "My Wine World". With information about the wine assortment, ALDI SÜD created brand experiences on the online portal meine-weinwelt.de. In addition, the wine pop-up store invited customers to a free wine tasting in 2017 and provided visitors with an extensive range of wines.
"We are very proud of the awards. Even if the prizes are for very different areas, they have an important commonality: they all stand for a modern ALDI SÜD, that approaches customers in a variety of ways," says Kirsten Geß, Head of Communications at ALDI SÜD.
The German Brand Award has been an item since 2016. With these awards, the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute are honouring successful brands, consistent brand management and sustainable brand communication.
