World Cup Special: Brazil

"In Brazil, the excitement for the World Cup is incredible. Brazil has already won five world cup titles, so this world championship awakens much enthusiasm in this country; so much so that the country stops when their national team is playing. People are united during the match and, when Brazil wins, the celebration takes to the streets. Is it a party!" stated Liliana Zayas, from Jacuacy Avocado.

She also said that the big players in Brazilian distribution prepared for this kind of events by making promises and presenting new incentives to stimulate sales during the World Cup. "Our company, for example, has launched three special containers for the World Cup. Brazilian consumers have been very receptive to these collectables."

"The truth is that it has no effect on our avocado exports; in the last harvest we didn't sell anything to Russia," Liliana concluded, but not before answering my last question with conviction. Who do you think will win the World Cup?: "Brazil, of course!"

Brazil's first game in the World Cup ended with a draw against Switzerland. Today, Brazil will play its second match, this time against Costa Rica. Since I declare myself neutral in this match, I wish luck to both teams.
