All kinds of mango varieties will enter the market in large volumes in mid- to late June. The mango season is estimated to start 7-12 days earlier than last year. The mango producing areas in Guangxi are distributed over Baise, Nanning, and Qinzhou, with a concentration of mango orchards in Youjiang, Tianyang, Tiandong, and Tianlin, all in Baise. Mango cultivation has more than three hundred years of history in Baise. The "Baise mango" obtained national recognition as a characteristic regional product. Many villages in the area are known as "the hometown of Chinese mango".
