UK: Jupiter to supply Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot is Britain’s most popular race meeting. "As excitement for the event builds, we can reveal that Jupiter will play a refreshing part in the proceedings.

Attracting around 300,000 racegoers, across its five-day run, with 70,000 attending on Thursday’s Gold Cup Day alone, it’s an exciting highlight in the racing calendar. Running from Tuesday to Saturday, June 19-23, it’s a thrilling event that is both "... anticipated and revered the world over," according to a company spokesperson.

"And Jupiter is delighted to announce that it’s prepared fresh produce division, Fruitanize, will supply the event with a range of fresh produce, from strawberries and lime wedges, to slices of cucumber, orange, lemon and grapefruit. So, if you’re planning on indulging in a tipple, like a cheeky gin for example, you can rest assured the fresh produce that is being used to complement it will be of tip top quality.

It’s a great order for our Fruitanize division, who will supply the event through its customer Adelie Foods. And with the weather currently looking like being warm and dry, we expect lots of thirst-quenching drinks being enjoyed by racegoers."

Figures for previous events have revealed that 125,000 glasses of Pimms as well as 174,000 pints of beer and 51,000 bottles of champagne were consumed amongst visitors’ refreshing tipple of choice. "So, as we’re adding the finishing touches in the drinks department, we think, that qualifies us to say we will be playing an integral part in the event, described as Britain’s most valuable race meeting, and also broadcast to hundreds of thousands of people across the globe. Winning the contract to supply Adelie for Ascot is yet another feather in the Jupiter Group’s cap.

Earlier this month it was revealed as a top 20 entrant in the Sunday Times’ International Track 200, making it one of the fastest growing UK companies when it comes to global sales."
