Turkey: Early harvest peaches fetch high prices at retail

Early harvest peaches in Bilecik have started to be sold at retail and the prices were notably high. A majority of the customers at the market place complained about the prices of peaches and currently only mothers are buying them at these prices for their children.

The prices were also concerning for the sellers in the market as the high prices curtail the demand. Peaches are coming from Bursa and sold at 1.1 USD per kg right now at retail however the prices are expected to fall significantly in the upcoming days.
