The low price of ginger last year, and the year before last year, affected grower confidence and this year, the production volume sharply declined, which made the price a bit higher. This year, prices peaked during the spring festival. Afterwards, the price decreased and tended to stay stable. However, compared to the same period of last year, the price still rose about 30%.
