JN Fox & Sons continue to promote EARTH University

J N Fox and Sons UK Ltd, a banana importer ripener and distributor will be exhibiting at the London Produce Show for the third consecutive year running with their main focus on continuing to promote their long-term growers EARTH University.

EARTH University is a private non-profit international university dedicated to education in Agricultural Sciences to contribute to sustainable development. It has 431 students and over 2,100 graduates from 39 countries. The University provides educational opportunities to young people who have leadership and agricultural potential, and social and environmental sensitivity.


During the last year the company have strategized in strengthening their partnership with EARTH University in Costa Rica, whom they have been working with over the last 7 years.

The duo has recently branded their bananas from Costa Rica and have been distributing the fruit throughout the UK since the beginning of 2018.

“It shows great development and commitment to the business relationship we have with EARTH University and we are keen to move forward to promote the fantastic work in which they sustain” says Kristy Fox – Import and Development Manager, J N Fox and Sons UK Ltd.

EARTH University are “Pura Vida” with the planet, which means pure life and with the people, their strong environmental and labour practices allows them to offer a quality product planted with conscience and harvested with respect.

The bananas are grown on their carbon neutral campus with neither herbicides or harmful chemicals. They were also the first farms in the world to recycle the plastic bags used for protection on the banana plants.

From the waste of banana production, they produce paper (banana paper) in which has been used to print some of the literature for the London Produce Show this year.

J N Fox and Sons want to show that when you choose bananas from EARTH University you contribute to the cultivation of a new generation of leaders who are working together to improve the world.
