Universal cup-sorter suitable for wide range of FNV

Polish machinery designer and manufacturer, Sorter, has developed a multi-lane cup sorting machine, designed for a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables and especially suited for delicate and less unified shaped produce such as pears, mangoes and avocados.

"Our CUP sorting machines are the most universal of all sorting machines. They have been designed for grading fruit and vegetables of diameter from ø 50 mm to ø 130 mm. The models with cup carriers are ideal for apples, tomatoes and citrus. They also work well for sorting larger fruits, such as mangoes, avocados and of less unified fruit shapes such as pears. The models available of multi-lane cup sorting machines allow for construction of a technological line consisting of 2 to 6 lanes. The speed of the machine depends on the type and variety of the sorted product and the parameters of the particular sorting machine. Typically, a cup sorting machine reaches the efficiency up to 3 t/h on one lane," informs Anita Kacprowicz from Sorter.

"Each machine is equipped with brushes to evenly distribute the products on the belt conveyor, and thus protect them against damage. Additionally, the surfaces and join points have been covered with the advanced soft protective fabric. Each line can be preceded by a pre-sorting section, a water unloading system with an elevator, or a high-performance unloading robot, or it can be extended with packaging and palletizing equipment.

The universal carrier can be adjusted to fit whichever fruit or vegetable is being sorted at that moment and since Sorter is also directly involved in the design of their machinery, it is also possible for them to customise any design to their client's requirements.

"For those customers who are looking for a smaller multi-lane sorter, we also have a roller drop system with a MSO carrier. Along with having smaller dimensions compared to the cup sorting machines, the greatest advantages of this machine is the integrated roll which transports the sorted product without its transfer to the next segment of the machine during the measurement process of subsequent parameters. It maintains the high quality of the product, minimises damage with delicate fruits and vegetables and has precise real time measurement."
