Cucumber prices drop in central China

The price of cucumbers in the Wanbang Market showed a downward trend last week. The main reason for this development is an increased volume on the market. Supply exceeded demand and so the price dropped. Furthermore, the production areas have changed. The cucumber supply from the northeast had already entered its final stage last week. The product quality was relatively poor and the price went down. Large volumes of cucumbers from Xinxiang and Shandong entered the market this week and their product quality is relatively good. In addition, transport costs from these areas is low. Therefore, the overall price showed a downward trend.
