Edeka Foodservice is restructuring services for bulk consumers
The realignment involves significant investments in logistics, IT, ranges and services. The optimization of the logistics network enables a better proximity to the customer and shorter delivery routes. Nationally standardized, modern IT systems will greatly simplify the ordering process. All customers have access to a comprehensive and diverse core range, supplemented by regional highlights from all product ranges. EDEKA wants to develop individual solutions as well: from tailor-made services to digital services to innovative sales concepts between retailers and restaurants for more sales.
The new company is based in Offenburg, where the administration is located. Logistics and sales will be controlled from Minden in the future. Overall, EDEKA Foodservice will thus be significantly strengthened, prepared for the future and particularly with regard to the delivery business it will be geared towards further growth.
