Italy: Sun Island Group trades high-quality produce

"We have been producing and commercialising fresh fruit and vegetables in Europe for 30 years without compromising on value for money or on the services provided to our clients. I believe this is our point of strength and what makes us reliable in the eyes of our international partners," explains Salvatore Nigita, sales manager for Sun Island Group Srl, an import-export company based in Sicily but with representatives in Spain, Ireland, Sweden as well as a branch and warehouse - Sun Island Food Sro - in the Czech Republic.

"We basically only work with the foreign market. I would say satisfying customers means reaching our objectives. In 2017, our turnover was €9 million. We are confident we can supply the best produce available at a competitive price and establish direct relations with supermarket chains. All our producers hold the GlobalGAP certification."
