"Alkaline soil (red) vine tomatoes are, as the name implies, tomatoes grown in alkaline soil. The color of alkaline soil tomato is redder than the common tomato. The tomato also has richer fruit flesh, more juice, and tastes sweeter. Apart from this, alkaline soil requires very little input. Furthermore, when the fruit is 60% or 70% ripe, it is still green, which is another difference with common tomatoes.
