Fresh processor now bringing fresh cut produce coast to coast

One fresh-cut produce processor has expanded its operations, to include eight manufacturing locations. With facilities in seven states and one province, Your Way*Fresh said it now has the capacity to bring fresh-cut fruit and vegetable products to every part of the United States and Canada.

"We have seen a substantial increase in customer demand in the past six months, which has accelerated our geographical coverage plans," said company President Jim Padden. "We've met our goal for all plants to be USDA Organic certified and SQF level 2 food safety certified. Thus, allowing us to meet the quality and food safety demands of key national and regional accounts looking for those certifications."

Offering items from fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, to meal kits, salad kits, grab and go, and custom product offerings, Your Way*Fresh said it serves national and regional customers in the foodservice, retail grocery, retail deli, C-stores, industrial, schools, and other food sectors.

"Our goal is to offer high-quality processing and packaging of custom fresh assembled products for national and regional accounts, with consistency of product, pricing, and packaging throughout our network," explained Padden. "These goals have been achieved thanks to over 2,000 employees dedicated to excellence."

In 2017, Your Way*Fresh announced it had exceeded 100m lbs of production, operating over 825,000 square feet of processing space, and offering distribution capabilities by a fleet of over 450 trucks. Their fleet will be bolstered by the eventual addition of all-electric Class 8 Tesla Semis reserved by their Ontario facility.

For the Your Way*Fresh team, the growth has been a great ride. "It's a testament to the Your Way*Fresh ownership, who place a premium on doing things the right way."
