Faison, N.C.-based Southern Produce Distributors, Inc. a grower, packer, shipper of sweet potatoes, has voluntarily filed Chapter 11 to strategically restructure and effectively handle financial burdens. The company’s operations are strong and will continue unhindered throughout the financial restructuring process.
Randy Swartz, Southern Produce Distributors, Inc. CEO and CFO, stated, “By utilizing the Chapter 11 financial strategy, Southern Produce will be able to quickly improve profitability, pay vendors and suppliers on a timely basis, and payoff existing debt much more expediently.”
