Opening of Expovalente Níjar

"Spain: "Greenhouse cultivation is an environmental asset"

"The fair Expolevante Níjar is helping confirm that greenhouse cultivation is an environmental asset, and that is why it is time to do away with the clichés of the past and show the world an organic farming system that consumers can rely on, and which guarantees a good future for the sector." This was the clear message from Esperanza Pérez Felices, mayor of Níjar, at the opening of the event, which has been sponsored by the Councillor of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Government of Andalusia, Rodrigo Sánchez Haro.

The fair, held in Campohermoso, has attracted the most important international companies in the agricultural world, and especially the most innovative ones in the field of ecological cultivation. In this regard, the mayor said that "this fair is teaching us that when producers, businesses and city councils work together, an unparalleled force is achieved that crosses all borders. Today we can say that Expolevante Níjar has become an international event, and proof of this is that the most important firms in the agricultural scene have come together in Campohermoso to issue an unequivocal message of competitiveness to the whole world."

Expolevante Níjar has opened its doors with more than 250 exhibitors spread over nearly ten thousand square metres of exhibition space. The fair, one of the most profitable in the sector when taking into account the volume of business that is generated in just three days, has doubled in size this year and is expected to welcome more than 60,000 visitors.
